Signaling pathways maps and molecular biology regulatory networks help to identify prospective drug targets by complex evaluation of the role of such targets in phisiological processes. This is a part of more general Systems biology approach, which deals with integration of knowledge from different parts of bioscience.
In our project we are mostly interested in Systems biology for cancer and stem cells, which can use integrated knowledge of molecular mechanisms which are implemented in cancer and regeneration processes in different types of tissues and organs in human body. In this approach we think that of primary importance is to create free and open source interactive databases for the benefits of scientific community, which can be developed and updated by the users.
